A Day Out In Donegal

Photo Gallery

Man what a day we had today, weather was good so we all headed up to Mullaghmore beach just outside Bundoran, picnic and a very long walk on the beach. Then up to the amusement park for another couple of hours.
On the way home we stopped off at The Salmon Inn for dinner.

Ulster Museum & Age of the Dinosaur Exhibition

What a fabulous place to visit, we spent over 3 hours walking around the Ulster Museum. They have displays on pretty much everything you can imagine, wildlife, under water creatures, ice age, stone age, bronze age.
The “Age of the Dinosaur” exhibition was also running while we were there, 6 huge animatronic dinosaurs, so realistic. Unfortunately there was no photograph allowed in that area, Ben was amazed with the exhibition, so life-like. If you ‘re ever in Belfast I’d highly recommend you visit the Ulster Museum.

Ben’s Canoeing Trip

Ben went off canoeing today with his scout group to train for his level 1 paddling badge. As part of the training he also received his Paddle Power Start certificate.
He enjoyed it so much he wants to join the local canoeing club.

Forest Walk – Marble Arch Caves

What a wonderful day we had today, first thing this morning we decided that a walk was needed to get our bodies awake. Caroline, Ben and myself headed up to the Marble Arch Caves where the walks are some of the best you can find in Ireland.
The plan was to go for a nice walk then back and take a trip into the caves. After spending three hours walking through the Cladagh Glen along the river Cladagh we decided we would leave the trip into the caves for another day when the energy level were a little higher.
If every your up this neck of the woods you should really pay a visit to the Marble Arch Caves, beautiful scenery.
